FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - Risk sentiment improved ahead of the Wall Street opening triggering a broad dollar selling and lifting commodity currencies higher. Following a brief dip below 0.9900 and 100-hour MA, AUD/USD bounced sharply toward a fresh daily high of 0.9939, underpinned by a quick rally in gold that topped at $1,600 an ounce.
At time of writing, AUD/USD is quoting at the 0.9925 zone, recording a 0.6% gain on the day, having recovered from a low of 0.9850 scored early Asian session.
As for technical levels, immediate resistances are seen at 0.9940, 0.9965 and 1.0000, while on the downside supports could be found at 0.9890, 0.9850 and 0.9820.
