NEW DELHI: Copper prices declined by Rs 2 per kg in the local non-ferrous metals market today on fall in industrial demand at prevailing higher levels and weakening global trend.
Traders said fall in industrial demand amid a weak trend in the overseas markets mainly led to decline in copper prices.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months declined 0.2 per cent to $7,495 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap shed Rs 2 to Rs 406 per kg.
The following are metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 116-122, nickel plate (4x4) 1,055-1,058, gun metal scrap 226, bell metal scrap 228, copper mixed scrap 406, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 137, lead imported 135, aluminium ingots 123, sheet cutting 125, aluminium wire scrap 129 and aluminium utensils scrap 124.
