RTTN: US Dollar Advances As Fed Leaves Interest Rates Unchanged
(RTTNews) - The US Federal Reserve was announced its key interest rate at 12:30 pm ET Wednesday. As expected, the Federal Open Market Committee or FOMC remained its key interest rate unchanged at 0.0%-0.25%.
Following the announcement, the US dollar spiked up against other major currencies and presently trading near 79.52 against the yen, 0.9483 versus the Swiss franc, 1.2672 against the euro and 1.5703 versus the British pound.
