PL: Gas industry fires back on Josh Fox’s NY film
It didn’t take long for a gas-industry trade group to fire back against “Gasland” filmmaker Josh Fox’s latest short film, which targets Gov. Andrew Cuomo as the state weighs allowing high-volume hydraulic fracturing for natural gas.
America’s Natural Gas Alliance is out with a statement blasting Fox’s latest effort, an 18-minute piece called “The Sky is Pink.”
Of course, there is a bit of irony here. As part of the film, Fox called out the group and its public-relations firm for their specific media strategy—one that, it could be argued, the alliance employed in its statement.
