MW: Crude oil seeing biggest gains of the year |

It’s been a tough year for oil bulls, but Friday’s risk on surge saw the biggest gains in crude prices for 2012.
Oil futures rose 5.84% to $82.23 a barrel in recent action, according to data from FactSet Research.
In a day that’s seeing broad gains in most asset classes, gold and oil are following stocks higher.
That put oil at its highest level since June 19. The percentage gain eclipsed a 4.2% surge on Jan. 4.

Gold followed suit.
In recent action gold futures rose 3.04% to $1,597.50 an ounce. That’s the second biggest gain of the year, behind a 3.7% surge on June 1.
