MW:Canadian dollar falls after Canada's jobs report

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- The Canadian dollar lost ground on Friday after the government said the nation's employment was little changed in June, though trading may be overshadowed by the U.S. payrolls report released at the same time. Economists expected Canada's economy to add 5,000 jobs, according to RBS Capital Markets. Statistics Canada said the unemployment rate slipped to 7.2% from 7.3% as fewer people searched for work. The U.S. dollar USDCAD +0.2237% rose 0.2% to buy 1.0165 Canadian dollars.
