FXS: US Dollar Index sidelined in the 82.45 region
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The greenback, measured by the US Dollar Index, is trading without any specified direction on Monday, as risk trends remain mixed ahead of the EcoFin meeting expected later on in the European evening.
In the data front, only May Consumer Credit Change is due in the US ($8.5 bn exp.), as well as speeches by Fed members W.Dudley and J.Williams.
At the moment: AUD -0.21%, EUR +0.18%, GBP +0.15%, NZD -0.46%, CAD +0.07 CHF -0.21% and JPY +0.01%. Wall St. is down 0.49% at 12,711 pts. and S&P500 is retreating 0.38% at 1,349 pts. WTI is up 0.46% at $84.79/bbl and Gold is up 0.12% at $1,585/oz.
The index is up 0.01% at 83.48 as of writing, with the next resistance at 83.65 followed by 84.00 and then 84.28
On the flip side, a breakdown of 82.95 would bring 82.75 and 82.45
