BS:Select base metals move up on global cues
 
Select base metals moved up at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockist buying amidst renewed demand from industrial users on the back of higher London Metal Exchange (LME) advices.

Meanwhile, copper utensils scrap and zinc softened following lower offtake from consumer industries.

The industrial metals rose at the LME on positive Chinese economy data.
Tin spurted by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,290 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,285 and Copper scrap heavy climbed by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 477 from Rs 474.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, and aluminium utensils all moved up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 484, Rs 512 and Rs 114 from Rs 482, Rs 510 and Rs 112, respectively.

Copper armature and brass sheet cutting inched up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 469 and Rs 326, respectively.

However, copper utensils scrap and zinc looked down by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 442 and Rs 134, respectively.
