In a limited activity, copper and brass prices moved up at the non-ferrous metal market here today on mild stockist buying following higher London Metal Exchange (LME) cues.
The industrial metals rose at the LME on rising hopes over further monetary stimulus from US Federal Reserve following weak retail sales data.
Copper utensils scrap edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 445 from overnight close of Rs 443.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting all inched up by a rupee per kg to Rs 485, Rs 478, Rs 513, Rs 465, Rs 318 and Rs 327, respectively.
