NEW DELHI: Crude palm oil prices moved down by Rs 3.20 to Rs 571.30 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels, driven by sluggish demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in August declined by Rs 3.20, or 0.56 per cent, to Rs 571.30 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of 1,378 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 2.70, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 568.70 per 10 kg in 706 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators at existing higher levels, sluggish demand in the spot market mainly influenced crude palm oil futures.
