RTRS:Asia-Pacific Crude-TNK sells Sept ESPO at steady premiums

SINGAPORE, July 26 (Reuters) - Russian ESPO held steady in
Asia on Thursday after TNK-BP sold its cargoes at similar
premiums compared with earlier sales from Surgutneftgaz.

* TENDERS
- TNK-BP sold a Sept. 6-9 ESPO cargo to Japanese refiner JX
Nippon Oil & Energy Group at a premium of between $2.80 and $3 a
barrel to Dubai quotes, traders said. It sold a Sept. 14-19
cargo to BP at a premium of about $3.15 a barrel. The deals were
in line with the $2.90-$3.20 a barrel premiums fetched for
Surgut's cargoes.
- Taiwan's CPC Corp has bought 4 million barrels of Angolan
crude for September loading via a tender, down from more than 5
million barrels the previous month, traders said.
The refiner bought 1 million barrels of Cabinda from each of
Sonangol, Chevron and Unipec, and another 1 million barrels of
Nemba from Sonangol, they said. The deals could not be
confirmed.
In two other separate tenders, CPC did not buy condensate
and sour crude for September loading due to high offers.
- PV Oil offered Rang Dong crude for loading between October
and March 2013, seeking bids on a dated Brent price reference
for the first time as it moved away from the volatile Minas
marker. The semi-term tender will close on July 31 with bids
valid until Aug. 10.
- Indian Oil Corp (IOC) has a tender open to buy light,
sweet crude for September. Grade offers were due by July 24,
price offers by July 25 and an award was expected on July 27.

* REFINERY
- Oil refiner Caltex Australia announced on Thursday it will
close its loss-making 124,500 barrel-per-day Kurnell oil
refinery in Sydney after a year-long review, converting it into
an import terminal and cutting more than 600 jobs.

- Chennai Petroleum has started planned maintenance at its
190,000 barrels per day refinery in Chennai, south of India, a
spokesman of parent company Indian Oil Corp said.

* MARKET NEWS
- Vietnam's crude oil exports in the first seven months are
estimated to have risen 12.1 percent from a year ago to 5.41
million tonnes, or 186,200 barrels per day, the government said.

- Libya expects to be back to pre-war oil production in
October, later than previously forecast due to interruptions and
the slow return of oil services firms to the North African
country, Deputy Oil Minister Omar Shakmak told Reuters.
