FXS: GBP/USD, EUR/GBP Flows: don't forget the BoE on Thursday
14:54 (GMT) 01 Aug - GBP has duly broken support levels at 1.5625 and 1.5600 in Cable and .7874 in EUR/GBP, though follow on moves have been pretty limited as liquidity remains extremely poor ahead of the FOMC result later on today. Amid the furore of the Fed and ECB meetings, as well as US payrolls on Friday, we also have the BoE MPC meeting concluding Thursday, and given all the calls for the base rate to be slashed to zero, we cannot ignore the event risk here. Something to watch out for.
