The price was higher than US$ 103.74 /bbl on the previous trading day of Aug 2.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 5881.11 per bbl on Aug 3 from Rs 5786.62 per bbl on Aug 2.
This was due to price increase in dollar terms and rupee depreciation with rupee-dollar exchange rate on Aug 3 at Rs 56.08/US$ against Rs 55.78 /US$ on Aug 2.
