WS: Wheat and soybean futures rise on the CBOT; beef and pork prices fall
CHICAGO — Grain prices traded mixed Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for December delivery rose 5.50 cents to $9.2250 a bushel; December corn fell 4.25 cents to $8.3050 a bushel; December oats were flat at $3.9550 a bushel; while November soybeans rose 3.25 cents to $17.31 a bushel.
Beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October live cattle fell 0.60 cent to $1.2387 a pound; October feeder cattle slipped 0.17 cent to $1.4285 a pound; while October lean hogs fell 0.62 cent to 72.55 cents a pound.
