PT: EURO GAS: Prompt falls, curve firms as oil prices strengthen
Continental European gas contracts for prompt delivery moved lower by midday Thursday after posting strong gains at the previous day's close, while the curve firmed as higher crude oil prices boosted sentiment.
The Dutch TTF day-ahead gas contract moved within a narrow range of between Eur24.65/MWh and Eur24.75/MWh in Thursday morning's session and was last heard trading at Eur24.65/MWh, down 15 euro cent from the previous day.
Similarly, day-ahead gas on Germany's NetConnect trading hub shed 30 euro cent to change hands at Eur24.75/MWh Thursday, after recording a sharp rise towards the close Wednesday.
Gas for next day delivery on GASPOOL was also trading at Eur24.75/MWh, down 25 euro cent from the previous close.
