MW:Oil slightly higher as market readies for Bernanke

MADRID (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures were rebounding slightly from a two-day string of losses on Friday as investors awaited a meeting of central bankers in Jackson Hole, Wyo. Oil for October delivery CLV2 +0.47% rose 39 cents to $95.01 a barrel on Friday. The contract gave up ground in recent days after Hurricane Isaac failed to wreak damage on oil-refining hubs in the Gulf of Mexico. Among other contracts, natural gas for October NGV12 +0.51% rose 2 ents to $2.77 per British thermal units. September gasoline RBU2 +0.47% fell 1 cent to $3.08 a gallon. October heating oil HOU2 +0.50% rose 1 cent to $3.14 a gallon.
