The dollar fell against other major currencies on Friday after the release of US jobs data set the scene for a potential third round of monetary easing by the Federal Reserve.

The number of jobs created in the US in August missed forecasts of 125,000 and came in at 96,000, increasing expectations of a third round of quantitative easing when the Fed meets next week.
