MW: Oil adds to losses ahead of inventories report

By Claudia Assis
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures added to losses Wednesday, bringing back fears of a sharp drop like Monday's session with just moments to go before an inventories report. Crude for October delivery CLV2 -2.40% retreated $2.28, or 2.4%, to $93.03 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. A settlement around these levels would be oil's lowest in more than a month. Oil had traded in the black during some Asian and European hours, boosted by the Bank of Japan's announcement of additional stimulus.
