WSJ:GLOBAL MARKETS: European Stocks, Euro Edge Lower; Spain, Greece Eyed

European stocks edged lower and the euro slipped against the dollar Tuesday as euro-zone leaders continued to wrangle over the appropriate measures needed to address the single currency area's debt problems.
By midday, the benchmark Stoxx 600 index fell 0.1% at 274.47. The U.K.'s FTSE 100 index retreated 0.1% at 5835.13, Germany's DAX shed 0.4% at 7387.67 and France's CAC-40 lost 0.4% to 3484.32.
Outside Europe's core, Italy's FTSE Mib sank 1.3% at 15,664.66, Spain's benchmark IBEX-35 index rose just 0.1% at 8144.90, and Greece's ASE Composite index lost 1.2% at 745.30.
