RTRS: U.S. natgas futures break to 2012 high ahead of storage
(Reuters) - U.S. natural gas futures rose to their highest mark of 2012 early on Thursday, with the new front-month November contract surging ahead of weekly inventory data.
As of 9:46 a.m. EDT, November natural gas futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange were at $3.274 per million British thermal units, up 5.8 cents, or nearly 2 percent.
The contract rose as high as $3.287 in electronic trade, matching its highest mark since last December, according to Reuters data.
