The official value of the shekel declined by an average of .29 percent, Thursday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.925, up .179 percent, while the Euro rose .024 percent to 5.0531 shekels.
The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.3624, up three tenths of a percent, while 100 yen rose .737 percent to 5.0573 shekels. The Australian dollar rose .425 percent to NIS 4.0879, while its Canadian counterpart declined .085 percent to 3.9876 shekels. The South African Rand jumped 1.355 percent to NIS .4786 and the Swedish Krona was set at .5983 shekels, up .673 percent.
