NEW DELHI: Tracking a weak global trend, crude oil prices declined by Rs 18 to Rs 4,864 per barrel in futures trade today as speculators offloaded their positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in October declined by Rs 18, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 4,864 per barrel, with a business turnover of Rs 29,316 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in November lost Rs 17, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 4,898 per barrel in 3,816 lots.
Marketmen attributed the fall in crude oil futures to weak global trend.
Meanwhile, crude for November delivery slid 4 cents to USD 91.21 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
