MW:Euro area heads say Greece has made good progress

SYDNEY (MarketWatch) -- Euro area leaders said late Thursday after the first day of a two-day summit that good progress has been made by Greece to bring its adjustment program back on track. "We expect Greece to continue budgetary and structural policy reforms and we encourage its efforts to ensure swift implementation of the programme," the leaders said according to a statement released after the meeting. The leaders said that they look forward to the conclusion of a review by Greece's institutional creditors and said the Eurogroup "will examine the outcome of the review in light of the troika report and will take the necessary decisions."
