ISL: Pound Outpaces Euro; Dollars Mixed, Shekel, Yen Down
The official value of the shekel declined an average of .477 percent, Thursday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.858, up .078, while the Euro rose .278 percent to 5.0085 shekels.
The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.2251, up .803 percent, while 100 Japanese yen fell four tenths of a percent to 4.8103 shekels. The Australian dollar rose .524 percent to 4.0064 shekels, while its Canadian counterpart declined .157 percent to NIS 3.889. The South African Rand climbed .749 percent to .4438 shekels.
