RTRS:Asia-Pacific Crude-Steady as TGT term talks begin
SINGAPORE, Oct 31 (Reuters) - The Asia-Pacific crude market
remained steady on Wednesday amid talk that Vietnam had begun
term contract discussions with buyers for Te Giac Trang grade
for January to June cargoes.
* TENDERS
- Indonesia's Petral, which had floated a tender seeking
sweet crude, may have bought Vityaz, traders said. It may also
have bought some ESPO or Azeri Light, they added. Details were
not immediately available.
- Additional ESPO supplies emerged after Surgut offered six
December loading cargoes of the crude via a tender than closed
on Wednesday.
* MARKET NEWS
- Sri Lanka plans to invite tenders for term supply
contracts as the island nation hunts for alternatives to imports
of Iranian crude curbed by U.S. sanctions, the country's
petroleum industries minister said on Wednesday.
- British oil and gas firm BG Group said that production in
2013 would now be in line with this year, tempering market
expectations.
- Japan's crude oil imports from Iran in September fell 36.1
percent from a year earlier, data from the trade ministry showed
on Wednesday, as refiners cut imports due to U.S. and European
sanctions on the Middle Eastern country.
