BLBG:Azeri State Oil Company Buys Georgian Gas Distributor, APA Says
State Oil Co. of Azerbaijan agreed to buy natural-gas distributor Itera Georgia, the APA news service reported, citing Socar President Rovnaq Abdullayev.
The purchase makes Socar the sole gas distributor in Georgia except in the capital, Tbilisi, Abdullayev said in the Azeri capital, Baku, according to APA. He didn’t disclose terms.
Georgia, a Black Sea nation bordering Azerbaijan and Russia, buys gas from both countries.
