SU: Rand down on quiet bond market |

The rand weakened against the US dollar before noon on Monday as traders lacked direction in a slow market.
At 11.42am‚ the rand was bid at R8.7115 to the US dollar from Friday’s close of R8.6935.
The local currency was bid at R11.0638 to the euro from its previous close of R11.0676 and at R13.8368 against sterling from R13.8327 before.
The euro was bid at $1.2710 from Friday’s close of $1.2722.
