FX:India Nickel Price Inches Up, China Stainless Steel Holds Pat
Rising 1.1 percent, the cash price of primary Indian nickel experienced the biggest change for November 19, 2012, on MetalMiner’s stainless price index.
The nickel spot price declined 0.8 percent on the LME to $15,875 per metric ton, after two days of improvement. On the LME, the nickel 3-month price declined 0.7 percent to $15,945 per metric ton. The price of Chinese primary nickel saw a 0.3 percent decline.
Chinese 304 and 316 stainless coil and scrap prices all held their value yesterday, remaining essentially flat.
For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese ferro-chrome held flat. The price of Chinese ferro-moly saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row.
