WSJ:GLOBAL MARKETS: Stocks, Euro Boosted by Chinese Data
European stocks and the euro rose Thursday, with cyclical stocks leading equities higher, as manufacturing activity in China expanded for the first time in more than a year.
Equity markets in both Asia and Europe were mostly firmer after the preliminary HSBC China manufacturing purchasing managers' index rose to 50.4 in November, from a final reading of 49.5 in October. The data mark the first expansion in 13 months.
