MY:Rupee falls 9 paise against US dollar in noon trade
Indian rupee declined against the greenback in noon trade on Friday. Rupee was down by 9 paise or 0.17% against US dollar to Rs 54.66 compared to previous close of 54.57 (12.39 p.m.). It opened at Rs 54.41 against US dollar.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.13% to 79.82 after opening at 79.79 (01:55 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.32 down 0.12% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 88.99 up 0.24% (02:00 ET).
At 12.36 p.m, the Sensex was trading up 54.32 points or 0.28% at 19,717.87 with 5 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 2.95 points or 0.05% at 5,971.60 with 8 components gaining.
