MY:Rupee falls 10 paise against US dollar to 54.60
Indian rupee declined against US dollar on Tuesday. It was lower by 10 paise or 0.19% against US dollar to Rs 54.60 compared to previous close of 54.50. It was opened higher at Rs 54.37 against US dollar.
The Sensex gained 80.41 or 0.40% at 19,986.82 with 15 components posting rise. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty went up by 32.55 or 0.54% at 6,056.60 with 26 components registering rise.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.06% to 79.53 compared with previous close of 79.48 (06:01 ET). It was opened at 79.51.
