NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock-index futures held modest losses on Thursday after economic reports had jobless claims last week rising to a one-month high and personal income outpacing consumer spending in December. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJH3 +0.04% were off 8 points at 13,830. Futures for the S&P 500 index SPH3 -0.21% dropped nearly a point to 1,494.40. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 NDH3 -0.30% declined 7.75 points to 2,728.
