MW: Treasurys fall as U.S. stocks fall slightly

By Saumya Vaishampayan
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Treasurys were flat Monday as U.S. stocks fell slightly and investors were watching for an expected statement from G7 leaders on the so-called currency war. Yields on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note 10_YEAR -0.05% stayed at 1.96% in early trading. Yields move inversely to prices and one basis point is 1/100th of a percentage point. The Treasury Department is scheduled to sell $72 billion in notes and bonds this week. No economic data are scheduled for release.
