MY:Rupee rises 13 paise against US dollar to 54.06
Indian rupee gained against the greenback in noon trade on Wednesday. Rupee was higher by 13 paise or 0.25% against US dollar to Rs 54.06 compared to previous close of 54.20 (12.14 p.m.). It opened at Rs 54.17 against US dollar.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index decreased 0.21% to 80.29 compared to previous close of 80.46 (01:38 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.34 up 0.31% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 93.29 down 0.30% (01:47 ET).
At 12.20 p.m, the Sensex was trading up 5.70 points or 0.03% at 19,641.42 with 9 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 5.80 points or 0.10% at 5,945.50 with 23 components gaining.
