GB:Shekel loses ground against dollar

The shekel has weakened against the dollar, but strengthened against the euro in morning inter-bank trading today. The shekel-dollar exchange rate has risen 0.37%, compared with yesterday's representative rate, to NIS 3.677/$, and the shekel-euro exchange rate has fallen 0.5% to NIS 4.876/€.
In international markets, the dollar has weakened 0.01% against the euro to $1.326/€ against the euro.
Energy Finance CEO Yossi Frank said, "In recent days we have seen speculation that has strengthened the shekel against the global trend. After the G-20 conference foreign currency players are focusing their activity on countries where opposition to their activities is considered 'soft.' There is no doubt that these players are trying to test if, when and how, the Bank of Israel will take action on this matter. The protocols of the Fed that stunned the markets have meanwhile supplied the Bank of Israel with oxygen, but only for a limited period."
