MW: Stock futures add to gains as jobless claims fall

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock-index futures were up 0.2% Thursday after economic reports included data that had jobless claims falling to 340,000 last week, and the monthly average dipping to its lowest since March 2008. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJH3 +0.07% were up 27 points at 14,292. Those for the S&P 500 index SPH3 +0.18% climbed 2.9 points to 1,542. Those for the Nasdaq 100 NDH3 +0.15% rose 5.5 points to 2,793.75.
