RTTN:Indian Rupee Off 6-day Low Versus U.S. Dollar After WPI Data
The Indian rupee trimmed its early losses against the U.S. dollar in late morning deals on Thursday after the release of country's wholesale price index for February.
Preliminary data from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry showed that India's WPI increased 6.84 percent year-on-year in February, after rising 6.62 percent in January.
The rupee that fell to a 6-day low of 54.5276 against the greenback earlier is now trading at 54.35. The pair ended yesterday's deals at 54.3055.
