The New Zealand dollar extended its Asian session's rally against other major currencies in early deals on Tuesday.
The kiwi climbed to 0.8432 against the US dollar around 6:40 am ET, its highest level since February 20. The kiwi-buck pair is heading towards an ascending channel resistance line of 0.8670 in the medium-term.
The New Zealand dollar also advanced to a 3-week high of 1.2428 against the Australian dollar around 6:40 am ET, up from Asian session's 5-day low of 1.2476. The next upside target for the NZ dollar is seen around the 1.2415 level.
The New Zealand dollar rose to 1.5229 against the euro around 6:50 am ET, its strongest level since August 21, 2012. Next barrier for the kiwi is seen around the 1.5190/1.52 area.
The NZ dollar jumped to a session's high of 78.67 against the yen, up by more than 1 percent from Asian session's fresh 2-week low of 77.82. The near-term resistance for the kiwi-yen pair is seen around the 79.0 level.
