KARACHI: The rupee slightly increased against the dollar in the foreign exchange market on Tuesday, dealers said.
The rupee closed at 98.33 against the greenback, rose by nine paisas from Monday’s closing of 98.42.
Currency dealers said that the rupee is expected to remain range-bound against the dollar in the coming sessions. However, it would come under pressure from May onwards due to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) debt repayments.
In the open market, the rupee posted gains as it was traded at 98.90 and 99.20 for buying and selling, the dealers said.
