ET:Sterling hits session high vs dollar on industrial output data
LONDON: Sterling hit a session high against the dollar on Tuesday after better-than-expected UK industrial and manufacturing output data, although gains were tempered by a wider-than-forecast trade deficit.
Sterling rose around 0.3 percent to $1.5308 according to Reuters data, from $1.5285 beforehand.
The euro fell 0.1 percent against sterling to 85.23 pence, from 85.30 pence beforehand.
