ENM: Crude oil futures down 1.97% on weak Asian cues
NEW DELHI: Crude oil futures prices today fell by 1.97 per cent to Rs 4,877 per barrel after speculators reduced exposures amid a weakening trend in the Asian trade.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in April fell by Rs 98 or 1.97 per cent, to Rs 4,877 per barrel in 8,406 lots.
Similarly, the oil for May delivery moved down by Rs 97, or 1.93 per cent, to Rs 4,921 per barrel in 7,392 lots.
The trading sentiment remained weak at futures trade as crude oil prices declined in Asian trade after China's economic growth for the first quarter came in below expectations, analysts said.
