AR: Seoul shares pare losses as yen gains easing exporter worries
We turn to Business Today first a look at the local bourse
South Korean shares clawed back early losses on Monday as the Japanese yen held steady against the dollar, easing some concerns about the competitive edge of South Korean exporters.
At the closing bell, the benchmark KOSPI closed two tenths of a percent at 19-20 after falling as much as nearly point-9 percent earlier in the day.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose 1.2 percent while on the foreign exchange counter, the Korean currency closed stronger against the greenback at 1,1-hundred-and-21 won.
