NEW DELHI: Crude palm oil prices softened by 0.42 per cent to Rs 453 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators offloaded their positions, tracking a weak global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in June month softened by Rs 1.90, or 0.42 per cent to Rs 453 per 10 kg in business turnover of 53 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in the May contract traded lower by Re 1, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 454.10 per 10 kg in 369 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in crude palm oil futures to a weak global trend.
Meanwhile, palm oil for the contract for the July delivery lost 1.4 per cent to $744 a metric tonne, the lowest since December 14 on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives.
