NEW DELHI: Crude palm oil prices rose by Rs 3.80 to Rs 458.40 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions supported by a firming global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in May rose by Rs 3.80, or 0.84 per cent to Rs 458.40 per 10 kg in business turnover of 414 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in April edged up by Rs 2, or 0.43 per cent to Rs 464.30 per 10 kg in 315 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by speculators in tandem with a firm global trend mainly led to rise in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, palm oil for July delivery gained 1.5 per cent to USD 749 a tonne on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives.
