ET:Crude oil futures down 0.27 pc on weak Asian cues
NEW DELHI: Crude oil futures prices today fell by 0.27 per cent to Rs 4,821 per barrel, as speculators trimmed positions amid a subdued trend in the Asian trade on weak Chinese manufacturing data.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in May fell by Rs 13 or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 4,821 per barrel in 7,139 lots.
The oil for June delivery also moved down by a similar margin to Rs 4,856 per barrel in 363 lots.
The trading sentiment turned weak at futures trade after crude oil prices eased in Asian trade as data showing weak Chinese manufacturing activity fuelled concerns over demand in the world's second-largest economy, analysts said.
Meanwhile, crude oil for June delivery shed 43 cents to USD 88.76 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
