Indian rupee is trading lower against the greenback in noon trade on Wednesday. Rupee was trading down 11 paise or 0.21% against US dollar to Rs 55.53 compared to previous close of 55.41 (12.05 p.m.). It opened at Rs 55.37 against US dollar. In the spot market, the Dollar Index decreased 0.03% to 83.84 compared to previous close of 83.86 (02:16 ET). Euro - USD was trading at 1.29 up 0.05% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 102.58 up 0.08% (02:30 ET). The Sensex was trading up 57.93 points or 0.29% at 20,169.54 with 20 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 14.75 points or 0.24% at 6,128.85 with 30 components gaining.
