BLBG:Pound Drops Versus Dollar as U.K. Retail Sales Unexpectedly Fall
The pound extended declines against the dollar and euro after a report showed U.K. retail sales unexpectedly fell in April.
Sterling weakened as much as 0.5 percent to $1.5075, the lowest level since April 4. It was at $1.5083 at 9:36 a.m. London time. It declined 0.7 percent to 85.74 pence per euro.
