MY:Rupee marginally down against US dollar at 55.60
Indian rupee is trading lower against the greenback in noon trade on Friday. Rupee was trading down 2 paise or 0.04% against US dollar to Rs 55.60 compared to previous close of 55.58 (12.10 p.m.). It opened at Rs 55.60 against US dollar.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index decreased 0.12% to 83.70 compared to previous close of 83.80 (02:28 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.29 down 0.01% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 101.62 down 0.39% (02:37 ET).
At 12.09 p.m, the Sensex was trading up 50.26 points or 0.26% at 19,724.59 with 18 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 25.05 points or 0.42% at 5,992.10 with 34 components gaining.
