NEW DELHI: Wholesale sugar prices declined upto Rs 20 per quintal in the national capital today following increased arrivals from mills.
Marketmen said apart from huge ready stocks position in the markets, regular supply from mills mainly pulled down sweetener prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices quoted lower at Rs 3200-3280 and Rs 3190-3260 instead of Rs 3200-3300 and Rs 3190-3280 per quintal.
Among millgate section, sugar Dhampur and Simbholi lost Rs 15 each to Rs 3080 and Rs 3205 per quintal.
Baghpat, Anupshar, Asmoli and Kinnoni also moved down by Rs 10 each to Rs 3090, Rs 3060, Rs 3185 and Rs 3245 per quintal.
The following were today's quotations per quintal: Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,200-3,280, S-30 Rs 3,190-3,260. Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,060-3,180; S-30 Rs 3,050-3,160. Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana 3135, Kinnoni 3,245, Asmoli 3,185, Dorala 3,135, Budhana 3,130, Thanabhavan 3,125, Dhanora 3,130, Simbholi 3,205, Modi Nagar 3,115, Khatuli 3,120, Dhampur 3,080, Ramala 3,080, Bulandshar 3,100, Anupshar 3,060, Baghpat 3,090, Morna 3,080, Sakoti 3,090, Chandpur 3,070, Amroha 3,100 and Nazibabad 3070.
