ET:Copper, nickel prices weaken on global cues, subdued demand
NEW DELHI: Copper and nickel prices showed weakness today, largely in line with a weakening overseas trend as prices fell by Rs 5 per kg.
Further, slackened demand from consuming industries at spot markets also put pressure.
Traders said sentiment turned somewhat weak after base metals weakened at the London Metal Exchange after Grasberg mine in Indonesia restarted some of the operations and the International Monetary Fund lowered its forecast for China's growth.
